Training your puppy is a wonderful way to connect and create a happy, well-behaved companion. Using effective dog training tools helps you guide your puppy gently and consistently. These tools make learning fun and rewarding for your puppy, which encourages good behaviour.

 Here are my recommendations:

1- A marker :

The easiest marker there is, is your own voice. Choose a word you will always use to mark the exactment moment the exercice is being execute perfectly!

The pro is a clicker. A clicker is a small handheld device that makes a distinct clicking sound.

This is a great tool, but will require you an extra step of training for both you and your puppy. Coordination is key in this process.

Either way a marker helps you pinpoint the exact moment your puppy does something right. This clear communication speeds up learning and reduces confusion.

3. Training Collar or Harness

A well-fitting collar or harness is essential for safe walks and control. As they grow up quickly, choose one that’s adjustable and comfortable.

Here are some helpful tips that will guide both of you toward success …

  • Be consistent: Use the same commands and signals every time. This helps your puppy understand what you expect.

  • Keep sessions short and fun: Puppies have short attention spans. Aim for 5-10 minute training bursts .

  • Reward immediately: Use your clicker or verbal marker and give treats right away. This links the behaviour to the reward clearly.

  • Stay patient and positive: Puppies learn at their own pace. Celebrate small wins.

  • Practice in different places: Help your puppy generalise commands by training in various environments.

  • Celebrate progress, no matter how small.

  • Make training a joyful experience for both of you!

With the right tools and mindset, you’ll raise a confident, happy dog who loves learning and spending time with you. And that’s the best success of all!
