House Training Made Simple:

Growing up is a process. And being in full control of your bladder takes time and lots and lots of patience from humans.

Adapt timings and walks as they growth up.

In order to avoid accidents, keep in mind that after every meal, after every nap and every playtime, your pup will probably will have to pee / poo.

The good thing is that there will be signs (sniffing, circling, or whining). Learn to spot them! Is like they are giving you notice for you to run and take them outside!!

In the house, choose a designated potty spot. To avoid having to clean all over.

  1. Praise immediately: The moment your puppy goes outside or in the designated space give lots of praise and a treat.

  2. Be patient with accidents: Never punish your puppy for accidents. Clean up thoroughly to remove smells that might attract repeat accidents.

Consistency is key here. The more you stick to the routine, the faster your puppy will learn.

But bear in mind that this doesn’t mean that your puppy doesn’t need correction.

Here timing is everything. You only have 3 to 5 seconds to either praise the right behaviour or correct the wrong one . Yes is not a lot of time ; so this is why is SUPER important to do it at the exact moment .
